Apparently the politics of today is causing them to no longer print some of the older products like this and the Complete book of Necromancers for example;. Clearly no one bother to answer. Never got any answer to messages that i sent.
I think we can kiss goodbye Spelljammer in print! I sent an Email asking if it could back on print eventually and it is still The print on demand option disappeared quite suddenly, a week ago or so; so suddenly, the description still has a "Note on the print version".
Just before I was ready to buy it, too. Hopefully it'll come back again soon. Where is the print on demand pod option gone to? It was there a day or so ago and it's now "multiple file formats" Anyone? I spent so long umming and erring about buying this, and now it's only available in digital. If you see this and POD is back, make fun of me I'm not making fun of you -- just making sure you know the Print On Demand option is back.
Do they frequently swap out PoD content? Makes sense I suppose, big bummer for me though. Just wondering whether the print on demand options for this book will be making a comeback in the future?
To see if the scan copy they have is clear. Pretty pleased with it still! So the consensus is still that the set is too blurry to read, is that what I'm hearing? I recently late last month , ordered the hardcover and PDFs. I presume blurry text is subjective to an extent so take further commentary with that in mind.
For the PDF: There is no clear blurriness to the text based on my perception. There is a slight "subconscious" blur where you will notice it is not as "crisp" as other text in a PDF that was not scanned from an external source.
This may annoy some folks who are sensitive to such things -- perhaps some may get a headache after reading the PDF for a while depending on their choice of monitor.
I believe this is due to underlying artifacts in the image format in the PDF. You can tell that the text was "blown up" to match the size of the book. If you look closely you will notice minor artifacts but they do not detract from the text in my perception.
Side note See more The order of the books is still incorrect but that is a minor issues. Does anybody buy a recent version of the book? Still blurry? Still missing letters? Timothy B. John M. The softcover printed version is really nice, good square binding, glossy color cover, good interior color. My only gripe is that it is a thick book, and the pages are printed too far into the crack in the middle of the binding. To read it comfo [ Brent C. This is a review of the hardcover print-on-demand copy of Spelljammer: Adventures in Space 2e.
All in all I am satisfied. The binding is in line with other POD hardcovers I have purchased. It will do the job and stand up to a moderate amount o [ Thomas A. For high fantasy, there's the Realms. There's Dragonlance. But Spelljammer? Well, it's for the real weirdos out there. We got antiquity-level physics. We got a legendary immortal spaceship.

Infinite space; stars as flam- ing spheres of super-heated plasma; movement through space as a balance of scientific forces, thrust providing accel- eration and maneuverability; scientific fact backing up natu- ral phenomena; life on other planets built along blocks of carbon or silicon elements.
Forget all that. You can get out of the atmosphere on the back of a roc; fly between the planets through a breathable ocean of air; sail between the crystal spheres that surround the in- habited worlds on a river of magical energy; encounter roving mind flayers and be- holders.
