Parent Rating Average. We love CHS Parent Review 3y ago. Bay Laurel Elementary School. Amazing school for children with special needs.

Private school at public school price! Plus, the community is welcoming and warm! Alice C. Stelle Middle School. On the surface, ACS looks like a good school. Very clean, well-organized. However, once my child actually enrolled, things changed. I am appalled at the amount of homework given. Too many things assigned and not taught. At first, we loved the school in sixth grade-very caring teachers who actually taught and seemed to enjoy the classroom and the children.

By eighth grade, things really changed. The once helpful social studies dept changed in eighth grade- only two choices of teachers: awful and worse Kane and Witham. In English, Coleman just assigned massive amounts of work and nothing modern-very old school ands curriculum. Beutel for science was a breath of fresh air. Math teachers were OK but were out a lot and rushed through the material.

For families considering ACS I would recommend sixth and seventh grade best teachers are Bostrom, Dickens, Andrews, Reynolds, Mena and would find another school for eighth. Parent Review 7y ago. Visitor 1y ago. Safe and clean community. The people are all nice and the communities are clean". The freeway can be jammed at any hour and limits access to other areas of LA.

Resident 2y ago. Yards and homes are very well maintained and HOA rules are followed and upheld. People are friendly. Living on the lake is like being on a vacation everyday ". Walkable, safety and cleanliness make Calabasas a delightful place to live. The private Calabases lake and park. The proximity to malls and nearby cities ". We have 3 lvusd public schools practically down the street. We have the Santa Monica mountains as our backyard, hence rent is high. Resident 3y ago.
