We will be studying creatures that live in the sea. The Winter This term we have been learning about the Winter. We concentrated on the birds that visit our gardens. Each child prepared food for the birds and it was hung in our school garden.

Mr Duncan Brown visited to share his great knowledge of different birds. We have been studying The slightly annoying elephant by David Walliams. On World Book Day, everybody dressed as a character from the book. We had an enjoyable day topped off by Brynrefail pupils visiting and reading their stories. Anest Haf was the lucky winner of the golden padlock.

During the first half term all our will derive from the Woolly Wendy story. We will be visiting Llanberis where we will be looking at different features such as the castle, lake, waterfall and museum. The children will practise different forms of writing e. After half term we will move on to learn about the sea. We received a warm welcome from the minister Mr Marcus Robinson and he performed a christening service for us. The hall was full of excitement when Elin Fflur came to film the occasion for the Heno programme on S4C.

All the school children performed exceptionally well. The first fortnight has flown by and the children have settled very well.

We are all enjoying our Happiness thme. As we are entering the Autumn it is an ideal opportunity to learn and recognise these leaves. The headteacher has been in post since January There are ten classes in the school, seven of which are mixed-age.

The school admits pupils on a part-time basis in the September following their third birthday and full-time in the September after their fourth birthday. There are no pupils from ethnic minority or mixed backgrounds. Welsh is used as the medium of teaching in the Foundation Phase.
